About this file
This is a bid request for printing services issued by the Department of Technology, Management & Budget for the production of temporary registration permits. The project requires the printing of 140,000 BFS-50 Temporary 30-60 Day Registration Permits with sequential numbering from 338001 to 457000. The permits must measure 12" x 5-11/16" and feature a VOID pantagraph design approved by the Department of State Investigations, with red PMS-202 pantagraph ink that meets light-fast specifications to prevent fading. Each permit must include month, day, and year boxes with screened void features at 20%, sequential numbering in jumbo large bolded black numbers on the face and red penetrating ink on the back, hidden word pantagraph features, and a white validation box without void features. The permits are to be finished with double-faced tape on both ends, shrink-wrapped in packages of 50, and packaged vertically in sequence order with the smallest numbers on top. All cartons must be visibly labeled with contents, quantities, and packaging information. A color PDF proof is required for approval prior to production, and vendors must provide a detailed quote letter with their bid.
The cover stock must be 65# uncoated cover printed in black and PMS-202 red ink with bleeds. Award will be made on the basis of best price and value to the state, and the lowest bidder may not receive the award if concerns exist regarding past quality or inability to meet specified requirements. Only prequalified vendors are eligible for consideration. Vendors must include detailed quote letters with their submissions, and failure to do so will result in bid disqualification. A sample is available for reference, and specific numbering details will be confirmed prior to production.
