About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to the Contract Documents for the Town of Bermuda Run's Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project, issued by the engineer Hazen and Sawyer on August 25, 2026. The addendum clarifies several aspects of the project scope and specifications, including confirmation that 10-inch diameter gravity sewer line items serve as means to obtain unit pricing for sewer discovered during construction despite no 10-inch segments being shown on plans. The addendum addresses accessibility concerns regarding Manhole 200257 located beneath a retirement complex, confirming that access to this manhole is not anticipated. The project is subject to sales tax, with the Town of Bermuda Run responsible for submitting receipts and invoices per Article 7 of the Supplementary Conditions. The engineer's budget estimate for the project is $2,250,000, awarded under S.L. 2023-134 (HB 259) of the 2023 Appropriations Act. Flow data collected from March 2024 to June 2024 at SSMH200355 indicated minimum flows of 0 gpm, maximum flows of 154 gpm, and average flows of 46 gpm, while flow data is not available for all other CIPP-lined segments.

The addendum specifies critical technical requirements for the project, most notably confirming that steam cure is not an acceptable alternative to UV cure for CIPP installation. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 with their bid proposals, and the addendum takes precedence over any conflicting information in the original Contract Documents. Contractors must sign, date, and clearly print their company name on the acknowledgment sheet and return it to the engineer at JPflaum@HazenandSawyer.com. The addendum serves as official notice to all bidders and becomes binding upon acknowledgment and inclusion in submitted proposals.
