STANDARD FORM 30 (REV. 10-83)

Prescribed by GSA FAR (48 CFR) 53.243

1 Q) Who owns those DI / Carbon tanks? Is it BEP property or is property of the current incumbent?

1 A) All of the regenerative tanks are the property of Virginia Water. The non-regenerative tanks are owned by BEP.

2 Q) In the event of broken fittings and caps... Who is responsible for replacement?

2 A) If we break them we should be, if they do they should. But for more realistic purposes the BEP can/should pay for fittings, they are minimal costs and our plumbing shop has access to parts. (Specifically in cases of emergencies where immediate fixes need to be completed to prevent large water losses and keep production going).

3 Q) Who is the current incumbent? (I believe, Virginia Water was mentioned but I just want it to put in writing for records).

3 A) Virginia Water Systems as I mentioned.

4Q) What is the current cost of this service provided by the incumbent?

4A) You may be able to obtain this information through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request not from the

Office of Acquisition or the Program Office.

5Q) This RFQ is due this coming Monday 21 Dec 2015... Will be an amendment to this solicitation?

5A) The amendment has been posted and the new response date is 01/05/2016.

6Q) When delivering & changing tanks and filters, will the truck be allowed to stay at the loading dock during this time, or will it be required to relocate to someplace else?

6A) That depends on the loading dock personnel and what is being moved through there at that time. If we are getting a shipment of security paper in, then the answer is no.

7Q0 When delivering a pallet of tanks, who is responsible for getting the pallet to the proper location?

7A) We have material handlers who meet them on the loading dock. They have pallet jacks to help move the bottles around to the sections.

8Q) I’m assuming that when moving the pallets, the BEP pallet jacks will be used? Please confirm.

8A) See the previous question and answer.

9Q) The escort will meet the technician at the loading dock?

9A) The material handler is the escort and will help them get their badges.

10Q) I know that our technicians will need to be escorted while on site. Who arranges for the escort?

10A) The BEP supervisor.

11Q) Room D200 is currently using 12”X36” tanks. Would it be acceptable if we use 12”X42” tanks?

11A) Yes

12Q) Will the bid date be extended

12A) Yes, see answer 5A.
