Crane Drives Revised Statement of Work

As of 6 March 2015

A. Background

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has two bridge cranes installed at the Washington, DC facility. The BEP requires contractor support to install drives on the existing bridge cranes.

B. Crane Specifications

Crane Number #1:

TC/American 1Ton Patented Track Crane o Crane Model – 3C-2000-HP Crane Under running, Push Operation Span: 19’ – 0”, 21’ – 0” OAL Capacity: 1 Ton (2,000lbs) Bridge Speed: Push Operation Crane weight: 788lbs Runway Length: 45’ – 6” Runway Rail: 3RL 8-18 (1/450th Deflection) o Hoist Model – Chester WDT-28S

C. Requirement

1. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, supervision, and administration necessary to purchase and install drives to existing American Crane monorail/trolleys to allow for full mobilization.

2. Contractor shall procure and install four (4) crane drives on two (2) existing bridge cranes located on the fourth floor of the Main Building.

3. Proposed drives shall be compatible with the current equipment.

4. The new drives shall allow for full motorized trolley and bridge motions. In addition, new controls for each crane shall be replaced with an updated version that shall allow for new motorized motions to the current hoist.

5. Contractor shall ensure that all equipment works properly. The Government will load test and inspect all equipment prior to initial use.

6. Contractor shall comply with the Office of Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) Contractor Requirements. Please refer to Document Control Number 75D-07.0-04 for more details.

D. Contractor Qualifications

1. Contractor shall have the expertise and the required capabilities to furnish the drives and upgrades.

2. Contractor personnel shall be competent, dependable, knowledgeable, trained, inclusive of any necessary or applicable certification and/or license and experienced, thereby qualifying the personnel to perform their specific duties in supporting this effort.

3. The Government reserves the right to request information concerning the personnel’s qualifications (e.g. resumes, licenses, training, etc.)

E. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The Period of Performance shall be 90 days.

F. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

Services shall be performed at the following Government location:

H. BEP WORKING RESTRICTIONS

When performing services at the place of performance such work must be performed without:

Interfering with Government business;

Unduly restricting traffic;

Causing unsafe conditions for employees and visitors; and Adversely affecting the operation of the BEP Facility.

Non-compliance with security regulations.

I. PARKING

The Government will not be responsible for providing parking for Contractor personnel performing under this effort.

NOTICE OF PACKING SLIP REQUIREMENTS:

The following outlines the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s packing slip requirements to ensure efficient processing of shipments to the Washington, District of Columbia; Landover, Maryland; and Fort Worth, Texas buildings:

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing requires that all packing slips be placed in a self-adhesive pack list envelope and affixed to the outside a shipment.

The packing slip will include, at minimum, the following information:

GENERAL ITEMS – Information required for each shipment:

Purchase Order Number – The order number BEP assigned to this purchase

Shipping Address – Point from which the merchandise was shipped

Telephone Number – The telephone number of the vendor contact to be called for inquires related to the merchandise

Customer Information – The name and telephone number of the party to which the merchandise is being shipped

Total Weight of Packages (if item is sold to BEP in pounds)

If items are drop shipped from a supplier, you must ensure the proper purchase order number is written on the packing slip by your supplier

LINE ITEMS – Information required for each line item included in the shipment:

Manufacturer Product Identification – Item Number assigned by manufacturer/supplier.

BEP Product Identification (If Applicable) –Stock Item Number assigned by BEP.

Quantity Ordered – Quantity on the purchase order or unit of measurement.

Quantity Shipped – With the packing slip.

Quantity Back-ordered, where applicable.

If the packing slip contains multiple purchase orders, each line item should include the applicable purchase order number.

NOTICE OF SHIPPING LABEL REQUIREMENTS:

Every box/skid must have at least one shipping label applied to it. The label is to include, at minimum, the following information:

Manufacturer or Supplier – Name of Manufacturer or supplier/and

Shipping Address – Point from which the merchandise was shipped/and

BEP Purchase Order Number - PO# or CC order #/ and

Customer Name & Telephone Number – First and last name, building and room #.

**Failure to adhere to the packing slip and shipping label requirements could result in shipment rejection, processing delay, and payment delay. **

Delivery Requirements:

Deliveries to WASHINGTON, D.C. BUILDING – 14TH STREET SW:

Vendors must call the appointment hotline at (202) 874-2080 twenty-four (24) hours in advance to schedule approximate delivery times. The hotline is manned from 6:30 am to 2:15 pm Monday through Friday. A voicemail message maybe left after normal working hours. Deliveries are accepted between 8:00 am and 2:15 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Over the road vehicles having an overall height exceeding 12’6” (3.8 meters) empty, or an overall length exceeding 42’ (12.2 meters) cannot be accommodated at our receiving platform.
