About this file
This document is an Addendum to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Bid No. BDC13-23/24 for the Mizell-Johnson-Vehicular Bridges 860160-860161 project. The addendum provides clarification on several issues raised by bidders, including discrepancies between the quantities and notes provided on Sheet S101 and the actual project plans. The addendum states that the contractor is responsible for field verifying existing conditions and dimensions. It also clarifies that the alternates mentioned in the bid documents are to be performed within the base bid scope.
The contract opportunity is located in Leon County and the City of Tallahassee in the state of Florida. The bid submission deadline and award date are not provided in the addendum. The addendum requires that the signed acknowledgment of receipt be included with the bid submission, and failure to do so may result in the bid being rejected.

Signature of Contractor and Date
The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:
1. Question: The quantities and notes provided on sheet S101 do not match the plans of the project. In specific, Sheet S101, Quantities, NOTE 3, NOTE 4 (*) “noted quantity is for PS pile and C.I.P extension sections only” is poorly written and is very unclear. Pile jackets are usually quoted in Linear Feet. Mark 5, corrosion inhibitor is usually quoted in Square Feet. Guardrails are also usually in Linear Feet. Many scales provided 3/16” = 1’ do not take into account the size of any drawing 11 x 17, etc. and there doesn’t seem to be other ways to judge jacket lengths in the drawings. In order to bid accurately, we believe line items with predicted quantities should be required to have a fair comparison across the board.
Please provide a bid form that shows each line item and unit that needs repairs?
Answer: Contractor is responsible to field verify existing conditions and dimensions.
