About this file
This document is an Addendum issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve North Boardwalk Reconstruction project, with bid number BDC02-25/26. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to potential bidders' questions, addressing permit requirements, construction methods, and material specifications for the project. Bidders are required to sign and include this addendum with their bid submission to Alisha Sadler, Contracts Specialist, by the specified date.
Key details include confirmation that no USACE, FDEP, or SJRWMD permits are required, though additional county building permits are necessary. The project mandates top-down construction with minimal impacts to dunes and vegetation. Equipment specifications allow for a rubber track mini excavator and NPK vibrating compactor plate for piling installation. The addendum also approves Lumberock 2x6 Coastal Collection Decking as an acceptable alternative to the originally specified composite decking, provided it meets or exceeds the basis of design. All other contract document terms remain unchanged.
