About this file

This document summarizes a federal contract opportunity notice from the Department of Energy. The Idaho National Laboratory is seeking partners for research and development related to microreactor technologies through its Microreactor Applications Research Validation and Evaluation project. The MARVEL project aims to test microreactors and understand their integration with microgrids and process heat applications. Example areas of potential collaboration include power generation and grid integration, energy management and storage, industrial process heat applications, and microreactor development and operations. Benefits of partnering include shaping MARVEL's capabilities to meet partners' needs, utilizing nuclear energy and renewables for realistic microgrid testing, accessing world-class research facilities and expertise, and collaborating with other industry participants. Interested parties should contact Javier Martinez at Javier.Martinez@inl.gov for more information.
