About this file
This addendum modifies a circuit breaker purchase bid solicitation for the City of Batavia, Illinois substation upgrades project. The addendum announces a revised bid due date of October 16, 2026, with the time and location of submission remaining unchanged from the original solicitation. The project requires procurement of two types of outdoor dead tank power circuit breakers: 138kV SF6 circuit breakers (quantity 3) marked as BKR 252-6, BKR 252-7, and BKR 252-SP, and 34.5kV vacuum circuit breakers (quantity 7) marked as BKR 152-4, BKR 152-10, and BKR 152-11. The 34.5kV circuit breakers must be marked according to specified designations for the NE and SE substation upgrades.
The addendum specifies that spring charged mechanism technology is the preferred specification for the 34.5kV outdoor dead tank vacuum power circuit breaker; however, bidders proposing alternate technologies will be considered if their proposed products and overall bids remain competitive in other areas. Bidders are required to confirm receipt of this addendum by signature and company name, with submission directed to awooldridge@bhmg.com. The consulting engineer managing the bid process is BHMG Engineers, Inc. This addendum was issued September 23, 2026, providing prospective bidders with approximately three weeks to prepare and submit compliant bids for the equipment upgrade project.
