About this file

This is a Notice of Intended Decision to Purchase Sole/Single Source Products and/or Services issued by Brevard County Board of County Commissioners for the Utility Services Department. The document outlines a sole source procurement for Barney's Pumps to provide parts and service for Pentair brand equipment, specifically rebuild kits for backwash pump diaphragms in the equalization basin. The notice will be posted on Vendor Link from 08/22/2025 at 12:00 pm until 08/27/2025 at 12:00 pm, during which time potential respondents can challenge the sole source designation by providing convincing technical data demonstrating they can meet or exceed the requirements.

The sole source procurement has a Sole Source ID of 4770822 and is being managed by Heather Riley, located at 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Building C, Room 303, Viera, FL 32940. The procurement focuses on rebuild kits to address a specific technical issue with backwash pump diaphragms, where high-pressure leakage could potentially cause significant damage to discharge piping and connections if not addressed promptly. The notice allows for potential alternative suppliers to submit evidence of their capability to provide substantially similar products or services, with the county reserving the right to cancel the sole source notice and pursue a formal solicitation if viable alternatives are identified.
