About this file

This Broad Agency Announcement from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration seeks white papers for studies and field measurement campaigns to measure atmospheric wind profiles in support of non-real time global wind data needs. NOAA is requesting submissions to conduct instrument concept studies and integrated mission concept demonstrations, with the goal of gaining a deeper understanding of different technologies for measuring three-dimensional winds and how their measurements can meet NOAA's performance requirements. A virtual Community Day will be held on May 11, 2022 for engagement with government representatives. Interested parties must pre-register for the event by May 9 and can also sign up for limited one-on-one question and answer sessions with NOAA. Submissions are exploratory at this time as NOAA intends to use the results to inform recommendations for potentially including 3D wind measurements in future space architecture planning.
