Questions and Answer Solicitation 140P3021Q0045 HT PKG 9
1. There are many different types and conditions of weirs under the towpath. Is there any general condition reports or inspections that might help us identify the weaker ones?
Answer: NPS does not have any condition reports, inspections, or assessments that identify the load ratings of the existing weirs under the towpath. Prospective bidders are strongly advised to perform a pre-bid site visit to identify any constraints and how that will impact any potential contract operations. The contractor is highly encouraged to review the provisions in the PWS related to weight limits and load ratings, as well as working in constricted / restricted spaces.
