Technical Specifications

Brand-name Mercury Marine MerCruiser 6.2 liter, gasoline, 350 horsepower, SeaCore, Digital Throttle and Shift, Bravo Three sterndrive marine propulsion system.

1. General Description of Needed Equipment: One, brand new, unused, gasoline 350hp stern drive propulsion system (engine, transom assembly and dual prop outdrive) with controls, instruments and propellers. To qualify for consideration, with each of the following specifications (Section 2.1 through 2.4] shall be met or bettered. Further, items [Sections 3 through 6] shall be included in this bid as a single package.

2. Equipment Salient Characteristics:

2.1. Stern Drive Propulsion System: shall be one gasoline engine of a minimum 300 horsepower, transom assembly and dual propeller stern drive.

2.1.1. Must be Mercury Digital Throttle and Shift ready.

2.1.2. Must be equipped with 2 inch exhaust risers.

2.1.3. Must be capable of continuously operating on 87 octane gasoline.

2.1.4. Must be equipped with freshwater cooling.

2.1.5. Must be equipped with power steering.

2.1.6. Must be EPA four star emissions rated.

2.1.7. Must be 2.20:1 gear ratio

2.1.8. Must be equipped with 20 inch pitch propellers

2.2. Remote controls: Shall be one console mount Mercury “Digital Throttle and Shift” compatible remote control, minimum 30 foot wiring harness, ignition switch, trim/ tilt controls and 30 foot Mercury “Digital Throttle and Shift” compatible control harness.

2.3. Instruments: Shall be one multi-function display, minimum screen size of 7 inches, Mercury Marine “Vessel View” or equivalent with all necessary wiring (minimum 30 foot length) and associated hardware to provide complete functionality at the helm with the capability to monitor live data and have alarm function for critical engine parameters including :

2.3.1. Oil pressure

2.3.2. Oil temperature

2.3.3. Fuel pressure

2.3.4. Coolant temperature

2.3.5. Seawater pressure

2.3.6. Battery voltage

2.3.7. Engine hours

2.3.8. Fuel tank level

2.3.9. Real time fuel consumption in GPH

2.4. Propellers: shall be one set of two, 20” pitch propellers.

3. Technical Support:

3.1. Manufacturer certified technician training suitable to permit National Park Service technicians to perform warranty, service and maintenance work.

3.2. Full accessibility to factory technical support in troubleshooting and repairs during the warranty period.

4. Manuals: One copy each of operator’s manual, service manual and parts manual shall be shipped to the delivery address at the time of purchase.

5. Warranty:

Manufacturer’s full coverage 3 year warranty shall start at the date of package installation. During the 3 year warranty period, warranty work shall be covered when performed by certified Park staff (once trained) or by a certified dealer.

6. Shipping and Delivery:

Entire propulsion package shall be prepped for barge or overland shipment. A complete weather tight wrapping shall be provided to prevent damage during shipment. Complete FOB shipping address shall be to: The National Park Service, Glacier Bay National Park, 140 Park Road, Gustavus AK 99826. FOB Delivery shall be completed no later than 4/1/2023.
