About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for fire protection system repairs and NFPA 25 inspections at Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, issued by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior.
The work encompasses corrective repairs and mandatory inspections for fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems at the Ranger Station and Visitor Center. At the Ranger Station, tasks include installing missing sprinkler head escutcheons, supplying head wrenches, replacing two fire alarm panel batteries, replacing water and air gauges on the dry sprinkler system, and replacing/repairing specific Rasco and Tyco components. The Ranger Station also requires a 5-year NFPA 25 internal obstruction inspection covering system valves, risers, cross mains, branch lines, dry pipe and wet alarm valves, check valves, and strainers, along with pressure gauge replacement and main drain flow testing. A past-due 3-year dry system full trip test must be performed with a 2-hour air test and auxiliary drain inspection. At the Visitor Center, work includes replacing a leaking 2.5" Victaulic control valve and 1" main drain, and repairing and retesting a 1.5" Wilkins 950XL domestic backflow preventer and 2.5" Ames 2000SS fire backflow preventer.
The contractor must furnish all valves, components, tools, equipment, PPE, and testing materials, while the government provides facility access, escorts, and utility availability. Work must be completed within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. Performance requirements include NFPA 25 (2020) compliance, UL/FM listed components, and certified technicians. Deliverables include completed NFPA 25 and backflow test reports, repair documentation, before/after photos, and final system operational verification. Special conditions prohibit electrical work, ceiling removal, patching, and painting unless negotiated with the NPS Contracting Officer's Representative. The work location is Highway 110, Building 170, Devils Tower, Wyoming 82714.
