The contractor must then conduct the emergency hazardous tree removal. Throughout the tree removal process, the contractor is responsible for sufficiently communicating with and providing pictures to the COR to ensure work is accurately completed to NPS’s satisfaction. After the removal, the contractor must send pictures to the COR to show the work has been completed. The COR will then visit the site at a later time to perform inspection and acceptance, for which the contractor need not be present.

The contractor’s certified arborist must meet the COR or COR’s authorized representative at the site to assess the scope of the work and agree to the level of effort required prior to the contractor commencing work. Once the COR authorizes work to begin, the contractor must conduct the work.
