Scope of Work:
Complete the installation of public address system in school gymnasium within Red Rock Day
School, Red Valley, AZ
Division 1-GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
SECTION 01010-SUMMARY OF WORK/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
PART 1 -General
1.01 Work covered by Contract Documents/Requirements Include:
The project objective is to complete the new installation of audio speaker system at the RRDS:
1. Contractor shall follow all work safety regulations and provide personnel with appropriate safety equipment; gloves, security shoes, and protective gear.
2. The Contractor is required to comply with all Federal, State and local safety requirements.
3. Provide any additional hardware, software and licensing as necessary to support the public address system. The Contractor shall be responsible for configuring and optimizing the audio speaker system.
4. Contractor shall keep the work area organized; contractor shall ensure the working area is in walking conditions throughout the building.
The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and performance of work as shown and specified in the submittals, specifications and provision of this Contract service to the
Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) location of job site - RED ROCK DAY SCHOOL, New Mexico Navajo
North Agency, Shiprock, New Mexico.
1.02 Scope of work
The necessary wiring, connectors, miscellaneous hardware, wall plates, lift rental, shipping, installation and training of six JBL PRX415 speakers' system, mobile audio rack, crown XTI amplifiers, 6 channel audio mixer with Bluetooth, Shure dual wireless mic system (2 mies), Shire wireless microphone, Furman power conditioner, computer audio connection, middle Atlantic rack and rack drawer storage for the needs of the project shall be supplied equipped by the vendor.

The Contractor shall include the supply, installation, testing and delivery in perfect running conditions of audio speaker system in school gymnasium
5. Furnish and install new audio speaker system this should include all wiring and speakers indicated.
6. All scheduled site work for the upgrade and installation should be scheduled between the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM. Monday to Friday, this job has to be done during the day with minimal power outage not exceeding more than 60 mins. Weather may affect ability to complete task or job.
7. This needs to be reported the school principal and maintenance worker.
8. Floor plan will be provided for mapping of equipment.
9. Provide any additional hardware, software and licensing as necessary to support the audio speaker system. The Contractor shall be responsible for configuring and optimizing the audio speaker system.
10. The Contractor shall submit a work schedule of days and hours of each day that the contractor's employees will require access to each facility. The work schedule shall give specific dates for the following activities at the site: equipment delivery, station reviews, installation, programming, testing, training, pre-cutover testing, cutover, and final system acceptance.
The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and performance of work as shown and specified in the submittals, specifications and provision of this Contract service to the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) location of job site - RED ROCK DAY SCHOOL, New Mexico Navajo North Agency, Shiprock, New Mexico.
1.03 Field Verification
1. Contractor is strongly encouraged to visit jobsite to verify conditions before giving price quotes.
1.04 Quality Assurance
1. Only personnel who thoroughly trained and experienced in construction and audio trades shall be used on this project.
2. Upon completion of installation the contractor shall arrange for an inspection to be made by
OIMT personnel specializing in audio speaker system or COR before final payment will be released be test for normal usage and to check all safety limits for proper operation.
1.05 Delivery and Storage
1. Deliver all materials for use on the project in new and undamaged condition.
2. Deliver adequate materials for installation is not to cause delay in project completion.
3. Contractor shall take extreme care when transporting materials to jobsite. Damaged materials shall not be installed and must be removed from jobsite. The COR of the project shall have authority to mark any damage materials.
1.06 Use of Premises
1. Confine operations while performing work to areas directly related to work.
2. Keep all walkways and entrances clear to the maximum extent possible. Do not use these areas for storage of materials. Contractor shall provide its own storage and utilities.
3. At end of each work day and at completion of project contractor shall remove all debris, unused materials, and equipment from the work area.
1.07 Barricades
1. Contractor shall provide adequate barricades for safety at all times during the performance of the contract.
2. Contractor will report to the school administration office and sign-in up arrival and sign-out when exiting the school site.
1.08 Liquidated Damage
1. Liquidated damage will be assessed, until work is determined by facility management personnel to be substantially completed. In amount of 100 dollars for each calendar day beyond the time of completion stated in the contract.
1.09 Damage to Equipment/Building
1. Contractor shall exercise care during performance of the contract work as not to damage existing equipment or building. Any damage caused by the contractors during construction to any equipment or building shall be replaced or repaired by the contractors at no expense to the
Government.
1.10 Pre-Award Meeting
1.A pre-award meeting will be held between the Government and the contractors before a notice to proceed is given.
1.11 Warranty
1. Manufacture provides equipment warranty, and a certificate will be provided by Contractor for workmanship and all equipment installation.
Part 3 Government Furnished Equipment & Information:
The building and the surrounding site area will be occupied and school operations will continue on a normal operation during the duration of the contract. The contractor shall take all precautions to ensure that the operations are conducted in a manner so as not to interfere with the normal school operation.
a. The contractor shall execute work in a safe manner and shall not subject to personnel unsafe conditions. The contractor shall provide safety barricades, devices, and equipment to protect personnel and property.
b. The contractor shall take all precautions to protect the building and its occupants during the construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operations must be repaired.
c. The contractor shall dispose of materials removed to proper disposal site. The contractor shall adhere to all local requirement concerning removal, transporting and disposal of material.
d. Contractor shall keep the area neat and tidy and free of debris at the end of each workday.
e. The contractor shall provide ample temporary storage shed space for materials requiring shelter for security and safety protection. This will be arranged by key personnel.
f. The contactor shall warrantee work to be free of defects and workmanship for a period of 1 year.
g. The contractor shall under no circumstance incur any travel or other costs, or begins the work at the site until they receive approval from the contract officer.
Part 4 - Deliverables/Schedule:
The contractor shall notify key personnel prior to start of work. The contractor shall update progress of

Period of Performance: Award date to 30 days; work hours will begin at 7:00 am. Work to be performed in other than normal hours shall be approved by the school key personnel.
