The Contracting Officer is ultimately responsible for the final determination of the adequacy of the Contractor’s performance. COR - An individual designated in writing by the Contracting Officer to act as his authorized representative to assist in administering a contract. Identified QA Surveillance (QAS) Items -
QAS may include the following:
- Review of documentation and procedures.
- Review of records and regular reports.

If nonconformances are found, it is the responsibility of the contractor to make all necessary corrections as required by the contracting officer. The CO will determine when the nonconformance has been resolved. If requested by the CO, the COR will follow-up to verify that corrective action(s) has been successfully taken.
