1.0 Overview

The National Park Service (NPS) , Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS), located in Marin County, California, has a requirement for solid waste disposal to landfill site services. The solid waste consists of non-hazardous trash collected by the NPS from the Park and transported to the landfill site by the NPS. The estimated base amount is up to 175 tons annually, with an option for up to 25 tons of additional waste disposed.

During the months of April through October, deliveries will occur twice a week or during the months November through March, deliveries will occur once a week. Capable businesses must be able to provide landfill service Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Landfill must be California State Certified.

2.0 Background

Point Reyes National Seashore collects trash from Park visitors, residents, and employees, and has a requirement for disposing of this trash, estimated to be 200 tons annually, to a California State Certified landfill within 25 miles of the Park address:

3.0 Scope

PRNS employees will deliver the trash to the landfill site up to twice per week.

Contractor shall provide landfill service Monday through Friday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

4.0 Objectives

Landfill site service to dispose of up to 200 tons annually.

Compliance with California state laws.

5.0 Tasks

During peak visitation season, considered to be the months of April through October, trash drop off by NPS will occur twice per week. During non-peak season the trash drop off will occur once per week.

On average, the NPS will bring between 1 to 6 tons of trash for disposal each week.

6.0 Delivery

Contractor's facility within 25 miles of PRNS shall provide landfill site services that can meet stated capacity of 200 tons annually.

Contractor shall provide NPS employees delivery ticket receipts documenting the weight of each delivery.

7.0 Government-Furnished Property

No Government-Furnished Property will be provided to the contractor however, the trash will be delivered to the contractor's facility by NPS employees in a Government owned trash compactor.

8.0 Place of Performance

Performance shall occur at the contractor's landfill site, located within 25 miles of Point Reyes National Seashore, 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes, CA, 94956.

9.0 Period of Performance

June 17, 2024 to May 31, 2025

10.0 Contract Administration

Payment:

Payment requests must be submitted electronically through the U. S. Department of the Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform System (IPP) at https://www.ipp.gov/. The Contractor shall submit all invoices through www.ipp.gov within 30 days of work completion. Failure of the contractor to upload an attached copy of the invoice and any requested documentation through IPP.gov will result in invoice being rejected.
