The Mojave National Preserve is located between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, south of the Interstate 15 freeway and about 65 east of Barstow CA. This contract is for the procurement of skilled labor to install a roughly 2,000 square feet metal roof over the patio at the Hole in The Wall Visitor Center (HITW VC). Twelve-inch wide, 24-gauge standing seam panels will be used to install #9 Metal to wood screw into the roof rafters which are space 24-inches on center to assure resiliency in strong winds. The color of the roof will be matched as close as possible to the existing. An Optional bid item is included for repair/replacement of damaged/defective sheathing or structure member should contractor discover after removing existing roof. Optional Bid item #2 for sheathing/rafter repair will be evaluated with total quoted price and is expected to be exercise no later than 14 days after NTP for on-site work, as the POP is 21 days beginning from mobilization.
