About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a contract for supplying road base aggregate to Mojave National Preserve in San Bernardino County, California. The project requires delivering approximately 10,616 cubic yards of aggregate road base material to a mixing table on Ivanpah Road, with specific delivery parameters including work hours from Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. The performance period is restricted to October 15, 2025 through February 15, 2026 due to desert tortoise activity, with administrative submittals potentially beginning in late September 2025.
Key requirements include submitting a Safety & Accident Prevention Plan, providing sieve analysis with Plasticity Index, and ensuring aggregate meets detailed technical specifications in Appendix A. Contractors must schedule deliveries with the Project Supervisor, deliver materials to the mixing table, and comply with strict environmental protections, including desert tortoise training for drivers and avoiding damage to native vegetation. Quotes will be evaluated on a lump sum basis, with deliveries managed to allow National Park Service equipment operators to stockpile the material. The Park Facility Manager is Jeremy Petruncio, located in Barstow, California.
