Statement of Work

FIRE INSPECTION, TESTING, AND MAINTENANCE

Yosemite National Park Objective:

Yosemite National Park has a requirement for fire equipment inspection, testing, and maintenance.

Background:

Yosemite National Park provides a variety of emergency response within the park boundary, including response to structure fire incidents. Specialized equipment used for structure fire operations requires annual certification to meet agency and national policies as well as comply with the A123 audit.

Requirement:

In accordance with The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1852 and applicable manufacturer’s instructions, the Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, supplies, and certified technicians to perform required annual inspection, testing, maintenance, and certification on the following fire systems:

• Manufacturer and Parts Number: MSA G1 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SBCA) (Quantity: 38 units)

• Battery Powered Hydraulic Extrication Tools, including the following:

o Manufacturer and Parts Number: Hurst SC358 Combi (Quantity: 5 units) o Manufacturer and Parts Number: Hurst SP555 E2 Spreader (Quantity: 4 units) o Manufacturer and Parts Number: Hurst S799 E2 Cutter (Quantity: 4 units) o Manufacturer and Parts Number: Hurst R421 E2 Ram (Quantity: 4 units)

• Manufacturer and Parks Number: Eagle Air Talon BAC Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Air Compressors (Quantity: 2 units)

Places of Performance:

The work will occur at two locations in Yosemite National Park:

• Yosemite Valley Fire Station, 9034 Lost Arrow Drive, Yosemite, CA 95389

• Wawona Fire Station, 2540 Wawona District Circle, Wawona, CA 95389

Period of Performance:

Units shall be serviced within 30 days of award.

Deliverables:

Upon completion of services, the contractor will provide the following deliverables:

• Each compressor will have an annual certification certificate and/or sticker.

• All SCBAs will be listed on an annual certification report; this report will also include any needed parts for future repairs.

• All hydraulic extrication tools will be listed in an annual certification report; this report will also include any needed parts for future repairs.
