About this file

This document outlines requirements for primary electrical testing services at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. The National Park Service requires a certified lineworker to inspect and perform tests on the primary electrical system serving the site of the former Hurricane Ridge Day Lodge, which was destroyed in a fire in May 2023. Services include checking the fusing and oil levels in the 100kVA transformer serving the area, isolating and removing secondary feeders, visually inspecting the primary cables feeding the transformer and those located in Junction 323781, performing hipot tests of the same cables, and re-energizing the primary electrical system. Optional services include providing and replacing fuses as needed. These services support Solicitation 140P8323Q0054 issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Pacific West Region for primary electrical testing at Hurricane Ridge.
