Statement of Work Summary
This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines Haskell Indian Nations University's (HINU) requirements for implementing Rubrik's comprehensive data backup and recovery solution. The project aims to enhance HINU's data management and security infrastructure by protecting sensitive student, faculty, staff, and administrative data managed within the university's Microsoft tenant and KanREN network. The implementation will safeguard against data loss, cyberattacks, and operational disruptions while supporting the university's educational mission.
The primary objectives include enhancing data security and integrity across the university, providing reliable and scalable backup and recovery solutions, ensuring continuous access to critical data, minimizing data loss risks and downtime from cyber threats, streamlining backup management to increase IT efficiency, and maintaining a secure and resilient IT infrastructure. The contractor will deliver six core components: an implementation plan, fully installed and configured Rubrik system, data migration report, testing and validation report, comprehensive training materials, and an ongoing maintenance plan. Key deliverables include deployment planning with site specifications and prerequisites, enablement prerequisites for cloud storage and encryption setup, onsite physical installation and cluster bootstrap, remote upgrade and enablement of the Rubrik solution including monitoring and SLA configuration, a QuickStart review session, and project closeout documentation.
The contractor's responsibilities include physical installation (onsite Field Consultant), Rubrik deployment and configuration (remote Field Consultant), and hands-on knowledge transfer (remote Field Consultant). HINU responsibilities include providing infrastructure access, ensuring work site preparation, supporting IT teams, completing site-prep workbooks, allocating resources, and participating in training. The engagement includes Rubrik Premium Support with 24x7 telephone and web support, product updates and critical fixes, and next-business-day hardware replacement. The project scope is limited to up to eight Rubrik appliances at a single location, excludes scripting and automation services, and does not include advanced tasks such as tiering, consolidation, or cloud configuration. The place of performance is a virtual environment at HINU's Lawrence, Kansas campus (155 Indian Avenue), with the period of performance running from March 2, 2026 through March 1, 2027.
