The Contractor shall source and provide bulk construction materials for roadway rehabilitation and campground infrastructure repairs at Joshua Tree National Park.
The Contractor shall arrange delivery of the following materials:

• 495 tons of Cold Mix Asphalt (CMA) to Black Rock Campground roadway system
• 160 tons of Palm Springs Gold decorative boulders to Indian Cove Family Campground
• 650 tons of Native Fill Sand to Indian Cove Family Campground
• 170 tons of Class II Road Base to Indian Cove Family Campground
Deliveries will occur on-call in quantities determined by the Roads Maintenance Foreman until the total quantities have been delivered.
All vehicles making deliveries will undergo a weed-free inspection during the initial delivery into the park. The location and time of such inspections will be determined by the Roads Foreman in coordination with the Contractor.
This project may require intermittent deliveries based on other work occurring within the park. If so, the Roads Foreman will coordinate with the Contractor to determine appropriate delivery schedules.
1.2 Background
The Roads Maintenance program has been approved to carry out major roadway rehabilitation and campground repair projects at:
• Indian Cove Campground
• Black Rock Campground
Existing campground roadway surfaces are several decades old and have deteriorated due to age, heavy visitor traffic, and environmental exposure.
To restore safe driving surfaces and extend the life of the roadway infrastructure, the park will apply cold mix asphalt overlays and repair associated campsite and camper parking areas.
Additional aggregate materials are required to support campsite repairs, parking pad reconstruction, and drainage improvements within Indian Cove Family Campground.
These improvements are necessary to maintain safe visitor access, protect park infrastructure, and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
1.3 Objective
The objective of this contract is to provide the required supply of cold mix asphalt and aggregate materials necessary to support campground roadway overlay operations and campsite repairs conducted by the Roads Maintenance Division.
The Contractor shall supply materials that meet the operational needs of the Maintenance Division and comply with National Park Service regulations and policies.
