About this file
This is a salient characteristics document specifying requirements for digital height instruments, GNSS receivers, and related accessories. The document details technical specifications for two digital height instruments for surveying applications, requiring 0.3mm level accuracy, 1.5-100m measurement range, IP55 rating, and 3-day battery life. Also specified is one GNSS receiver system with integrated antenna, IMU-based tilt compensation, 9GB memory, RTK precision of 8mm horizontal/15mm vertical, IP67 rating, and ability to track multiple satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, etc.).
The equipment package includes various accessories like tripods, leveling rods, battery chargers, carrying cases, mounting hardware, and a controller with 7" display running Windows 10. Both the GNSS receiver and controller require 5-year premium protection plans covering defects, parts/labor, wear and tear, environmental damage, and accidents. All equipment must be compatible with each other and include North American power plugs. The document is associated with solicitation 140G0125Q0050 from the USGS New York Water Science Center, with quotes due February 6, 2025 and anticipated award date of February 10, 2025. This is a small business set-aside under NAICS 334511.
