Redwood National Park Sign Printer

Specifications

Introduction The National Park Service (NPS) at Redwood National Park (REDW), in Humboldt County, California, has a requirement for the supply and delivery of one (1) Sign Printer according to these specifications. There is a separate line item for an optional requirement for one (1) laminator compatible with the sign printer.

Redwood National Park has the primary responsibility of replacing park waysides and signage to include MUTCD signage. This equipment will enhance customization, support cost efficiency, allow for quick turnaround of products, provide high-quality and durable signage, improve the parks professional appearance, and allow versatility in materials used.

This document includes a manufacturer and model number that meets the government's requirements along with a list of salient characteristics that must be present in products proposed as an equivalent product. Quotes for equivalent products will be accepted.

To be considered for award, quotes of "equal" products, including "equal" products of the brand name manufacturer, must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified in this solicitation. These characteristics are essential to the government's needs. A product offered as an "equal" need not meet unstated features of the brand name product.

The Sign Printer should be the following brand name or equal to:

TrafficJet Xpress, with the Mimaki UCJV-300 platform or equal unit that meets the specifications below.
