About this file

This document is a set of technical drawings for precast concrete components to be delivered to Fort Polk, Louisiana. The drawings provide detailed specifications for five distinct concrete product types: a 6-inch-thick C-Channel, a 9-inch-thick tall C-Channel, a floor isolation slab, a floor bearing pad, and a 9-inch-thick short C-Channel.

The 6-inch C-Channel (Drawing A) requires concrete with minimum 4,500 psi compression strength at 28 days, ASTM A615 Grade 60 reinforcement, total weight of 8,500 pounds with four lifting points each with minimum 1,500 lbs tension capacity, and chamfered edges with 2-inch [13mm] recommendation. The 9-inch tall C-Channel (Drawing B) specifies 4,500 psi concrete strength, ASTM A615 Grade 60 reinforcement, total weight of 13,000 pounds with four lifting points each with minimum 1,500 lbs tension capacity, and chamfered 2-inch edges. The floor isolation slab (Drawing C) requires 4,500 psi concrete, ASTM A615 Grade 60 #4 reinforcement bars, total weight of 4,300 pounds with four lifting points each with minimum 2,200 lbs tension capacity, and includes 1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe thru-holes. The floor bearing pad (Drawing D) specifies 4,500 psi concrete, ASTM A615 Grade 60 #4 reinforcement, total weight of 1,100 pounds with four lifting points each with minimum 600 lbs tension capacity, and 1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe thru-holes. The 9-inch short C-Channel (Drawing E) requires 6,000 psi 28-day compressive strength, ASTM A-615 Grade 60 reinforcement, and four lifting points each with minimum 6,000 lbs tension capacity. All products require minimum 1-inch [13mm] clear cover for reinforcement, prohibit welding or torch-cutting, and mandate adequate reinforcement securing to prevent movement during concrete placement.
