Bids are due by 9:00 AM on May 17, 2024, with services to be performed from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, and an option to extend the contract for one additional year through June 30, 2026. The vendor will be responsible for picking up soiled items on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and returning cleaned items on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Mondays, respectively, with individual garment bags for each officer.

The bid proposal includes a detailed pricing schedule for cleaning various types of uniform and business attire items, ranging from uniform shirts and trousers to business suits and ties. Pricing will be evaluated based on lowest responsive bid price, considering factors such as meeting specifications, discounts, quality of service, ability to meet the town's needs, and delivery schedule. The successful bidder must use cleaning methods acceptable to the Dry Cleaning & Laundry Institute, be responsible for any lost or damaged items, and provide monthly invoices with detailed accounting of items cleaned by category and officer name. The town requires the vendor to have general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000, auto liability of $1,000,000, and workers' compensation at statutory limits.
