About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document issued by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for contract opportunity 26-422-DNR-LAWEN-B-52276, titled "Ole South Zone Boat Motor Replacements/Installs." The document provides clarification on technical specifications for boat motor replacement and installation work. Key specifications established through the Q&A process include 25-inch shaft lengths for the motors, stainless steel propellers, and hydraulic steering system installation to replace existing cable steering. The document confirms that if Mercury motors are selected, the current electronic throttle controls will require replacement, and existing binnacle control boxes mounted on top of the helm next to the steering wheel will need to be addressed during the installation process.

The document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, contract duration, funding sources, set-asides, incumbent contractors, bid submission dates, or other financial and administrative details necessary for potential bidders to prepare responses. Additional contract documents would be required to obtain complete information about evaluation criteria, award procedures, and project timeline.
