Questions and Answers #1
Q1 Regarding the above referenced bid, CMI no longer manufactures/sells the instrumentation listed for items 1-3. Will the State consider a bid response with our latest handheld and evidential instruments?
A1 Per Section A.22.1.5. of the Invitation for Bid, When the specification calls for “Brand Name or Equal,” the brand name product is acceptable. Other products will be considered with proof the other product meets stated specifications and is equivalent to the brand product in terms of quality, performance, and desired characteristics, Bidders may enter information for the equivalent product that they are bidding in the Alternate Description when they enter their pricing on the Line Item in BidBuy. Bidders must clearly indicate how the product is equivalent and if it meets all of the requirements of the Line Item, including the required accessories, manuals, batteries, warranties, etc.
