About this file
This document is a Notice of Award form for a tire contract (Bid Number B-1052) issued by the Illinois Central Management Services (CMS) agency. The contract enables CMS, other governmental units, and qualified non-profit agencies to purchase tires on an as-needed basis for a 24-month term, with two 12-month renewal options available. The contract was awarded to The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for $18,520,000, with the exception of two line items. Two bidders responded, with one unsuccessful bidder, Peoria Tire & Vulcanizing.
The contract does not provide estimates of financial return to the state or gross revenue to the vendor. There is also no participation by Business Enterprise Program (BEP) or Veteran Business Program (VBP) vendors. The award decision was based on the agency's justification and was determined to be reasonable by the State Purchasing Officer.
