About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center seeking market research on the remanufacture of a B-1 Electro Mechanical Actuator (NSN: 1680-01-289-2958, P/N: Y56A). The RFI was issued after no proposals were received for a previous solicitation (FA811825R0027), and aims to understand why contractors did not submit proposals and what barriers might prevent future participation.
The RFI requests written responses by 17 March 2025 at 1500 CST, targeting both small and large businesses under NAICS 336413. Key questions explore reasons for non-participation, including potential issues with solicitation terms, parts or material shortages, and willingness to propose under different competitive conditions. Responses will be sent to Matthew Tonay, Contracting Officer, via email at matthew.tonay.1@us.af.mil, with assurances that proprietary information will not be publicly shared. Participation in this RFI does not guarantee future solicitation or contract award opportunities.
