MARKET SURVEY ANNOUNCEMENT

1. Introduction/Purpose

The FAA is surveying Industry interest and seeking vendors who have the capability to provide maintenance service for ALL Weather Incorporated (AWI) Automated Weather Observer System (AWOS 3000-3PT equipment, a Non-Federal AWOS), for a period of three years.

This Request for Information is to determine vendors’ capability to maintain an AWI AWOS 3000-3PT and coordinate with the FAA for the FAA to certify the system. FAA anticipates that certain AWI AWOS 3000-3PT will be transferred to the FAA.

This Market Survey/Request for Information (RFI) is being issued in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy Section 3.2.1.2.1.

2. Nature of Market Survey

This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. The acquisition strategy for the procurement is undetermined at this time. The FAA does not intend to publish the results of this Market Survey/RFI.
