This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Academy of Warren, a Michigan-based educational institution, for architectural services related to warehouse renovation. The Academy seeks an architectural firm to provide planning, design, bidding assistance, and construction administration services for the renovation and build-out of a 34,200 square-foot warehouse (Building A) into educational and support spaces, including 13 new classrooms, restroom facilities, a warming kitchen, storage areas, and a multi-purpose room. The RFP was released on August 19, 2026, with a mandatory walk-through scheduled for 10:00 AM on August 27, 2026, at the project site located at 13943 E 8 Mile Road, Warren, Michigan 48089. The deadline for proposal questions is August 31, 2026, and sealed proposals are due by 12:00 PM on September 2, 2026, submitted to CS Partners at 869 South Old US 23, Brighton, Michigan 48114. Board approval is anticipated for September 15, 2024. Attendance at the mandatory walk-through is required for all bidders; failure to attend disqualifies a firm from bidding.
Responding firms must provide detailed qualifications, specific team information with resumes, a minimum of five comparable project references with client contact information, and a statement of approach to the project limited to two pages. The RFP requires firms to procure construction management services and provide value-added services such as structural engineering, security consultation, technology consultation, and interior design. A detailed fixed-fee cost proposal must cover all architectural and engineering services, construction bid assistance, construction administration, plan reviews, permits, and contingencies. Proposals should be submitted as one original and six copies in sealed envelopes, with an electronic copy also required. The evaluation committee will rank submissions based on local construction knowledge, professional experience, and proposal quality, with optional interviews of selected candidates before final selection. The Academy reserves the right to reject all applications and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposal process.
