About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the County of Sacramento, Department of Regional Parks, seeking vendor solutions for the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of automated vehicle gate access control systems across multiple regional parks locations. The RFI solicits information on three gate types—automated swing gates, sliding gates, and barrier arm gates—along with integrated access control systems, emergency vehicle protocols, real-time monitoring capabilities, and sustainable energy solutions such as solar power with battery backup. Vendors are required to provide comprehensive design plans, cost estimates, installation timelines, maintenance schedules, and 24/7 technical support and staff training. The RFI includes a question submission deadline of March 20, 2026, a question response deadline of March 27, 2026, and a final response submission deadline of April 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., with responses submitted electronically through the OpenGov Procurement portal. The County has identified 30 specific regional park locations throughout Sacramento County requiring automation, with detailed site information and Google Street View links provided in the Regional Parks Locations Worksheet attachment. No site visits or bidders' conferences are specified in the documentation.
The RFI is explicitly designated for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a future solicitation or award a contract. All costs associated with responding to the RFI are the responsibility of interested parties, and response is entirely voluntary with no prerequisite to future solicitations. No budget ranges, estimated award values, set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses, or incumbent vendors are identified in the procurement materials. All proposed systems must comply with UL 325 and ASTM F2200 safety standards and integrate with existing park infrastructure. The County reserves the right to modify the scope of work as necessary and will treat all proposal information as public record following negotiations with a selected party, unless protected data is clearly identified with legal justification for confidentiality.
