About this file
The document is a Milk Order spreadsheet for FCI Leavenworth, specifying a dairy milk procurement for August and September 2025. The solicitation (15B40825Q00000007) is for a firm fixed price contract to deliver 179,200 half-pint containers of kosher, pasteurized, nonfat/skim milk weekly to the facility. Specific requirements include milk that meets CID A-A-20338, Group I, Type D standards, with deliveries to be coordinated weekly based on quantities determined the Wednesday before delivery.
Critical logistics and quality requirements mandate that milk must be delivered in refrigerated trucks, maintained below 41 degrees, and meet National Menu Specifications. The contract is issued by the Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons at United States Penitentiary Leavenworth, with a performance period from August 5, 2025, through September 30, 2025. Vendors are instructed to submit quotes and attached spreadsheet directly to Kathleen Wood, Contract Specialist, via email at kwood1@bop.gov, with strict adherence to specified product standards.

| Failure to comply with the National Menu Specifications will result in your quoted item not being considered for award. No specification substitutions will be accepted. If a specification does NOT state it must be a product of the United States or Canada, it is acceptable for it to be a "product of" a Foreign Country and distributed in the United States or Puerto Rico. When options are offered on the specifications, it is the FSA's determination as to what options are put out to bid. Not all options need be put out for bid. (i.e., cans and pouches). Items that are fried may be baked at the institutions discretion. The NFSA/Chief Dietitian will make the final determination on product compliance. | |||||
