STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Purchase of Virgin Palladium Sponge

Date: April 6, 2021

1. Background/Objective: The Savannah River Site desires to procure virgin palladium sponge.

2. Scope: The DOE/NNSA will procure virgin palladium sponge meeting the requirements of specification ASTM B 589-94. In addition to those requirements, the sponge shall also contain < 5 ppm sulfur. Supplier shall provide a Certificate of Compliance that product meets all specifications and will specify the refining process that was used.

Initial quantity of palladium procured under this request will be 50 kg. Additional material may/may not be procured.

3. Applicable Documents:

3.1. Specification ASTM B 589-94, Standard Specification for Refined Palladium.

Product must also contain < 5 ppm sulfur.

4. Requirements/Tasks: Supplier will make material available to Savannah River

National Laboratory (SRNL) personnel for sampling no later than May 31, 2021.

SRNL point of contact is Harry Garcia Flores and his phone number is (803) 725- 1418. SRNL personnel will obtain material samples to verify chemical composition and affix tamper indicating devices (TIDs) to material containers once samples are taken. TIDs are to remain installed on containers until final delivery of material.

Laboratory analysis will be completed and payment made within 30 days of obtaining samples, subject to confirmation that material meets specifications. Supplier has 7 days from confirmation of chemical composition to ship material to the following location:
