Required services include continuous software updates for the life of the system, a mobile app accessible via Apple or Android devices with automatic update pushes, daily, weekly, monthly, and event summary reporting capabilities, and real-time event monitoring. The minimum configuration includes one transmit tower, one receive tower, four rechargeable batteries, one dual-bay charging dock, one support arm with stabilizing baseplate, and one encapsulated test piece for calibration. The vendor must provide orientation and training upon delivery and include a 2-year warranty from the delivery date. Delivery is required within 60 days after receipt of order to 6 SFS, MacDill AFB, 2505 SOCOM Memorial Way, Tampa, FL 33621.

Weapon Detection System

STATEMENT OF NEED (SON)

05 June 2026 Requirement:

The 6 SFS is looking to purchase a Brand name or equal CEIA Open Gate 108961-LTE-WIFI Weapon Detection System

Background:

The Commercial Search Gate at MacDill AFB is a critical entry point responsible for high traffic volume. This system allows for a more detailed check of drivers as they enter without causing major delays in processing the drivers and vehicles.

Characteristics:

Shall provide the ability to screen for weapons, threatening devices, and metallic items commensurate with TSA and industry screening protocols. In addition, a throughput gate with the ability to reduce the need for physical contact (touchless). System must be portable and be able to be used inside or outside in inclement and extreme heat. System must be designed to screen people and bags without emptying their pockets or contents. The system is required to provide security teams with real-time information via an audible tone built into the system with the goal to strengthen security and drive operational efficiency.

Inherent Services:

The system should include: All software updates, the ability to access via their app daily, weekly, monthly, and event summary reports and real-time event monitoring reports. Software updates are provided as long as we have the system. The system pairs with an app that can be downloaded to any Apple or Android device. Once the pairing is complete if there is any new update it will be pushed through to the system. Orientation and training to be provided by the contractor on delivery. A minimum configuration consists of, 1 transmit tower, 1 receive tower, 4 rechargeable batteries, 1 dual-bay charging dock, 1 support arm and plate stabilizing baseplate, and 1 encapsulated test piece used for system calibration. The company offers a 2-year warranty from day of delivery, and we do not request any additional years.

Delivery:

Vender will deliver system to 6 SFS MAFB/2505 SOCOM Memorial Way, Tampa, FL, 3362190 60 days ARO.
