Sheet pile installation: Driving 190 lineal feet of 3/8” thick interlocking hot rolled PZ 22 sheet pile parallel to the existing bin wall portion of the dock (please refer to drawing A100) and as close to the dock as possible to connect to the waler. Sheet piling must be driven to a depth of at least 6 feet below lakebed to ensure structural integrity and to avoid impact by environmental conditions.

b. Fender Installation: Installation of 190 lineal feet of 3”x12” treated timber to the exterior of the sheet piling. Timber should be level with the top of the finished dock.

c. Demolition of existing concrete dock decking which will be Demoed and left in bin walls as fill.

d. Installation of wide bent plate cap on top of the sheet pile (sheet pile cap). This cap will be installed to create a level transition from the sheet pile to the new concrete cap.

f. Installation of reinforced concrete cap. #5 rebar shall be placed at 1’ on center within the concrete cap. Concrete cap to be at least 8” thick and slightly crowned to avoid water pooling on dock surface.

g. Installation of the cleats which will be through anchored to provide appropriate mooring points for marine vessels. Salvage and reinstall mooring cleats from the existing dock.

Reinstall in the same locations/ spacing as on the current footprint.
