About this file

This is a Brand Name or Equal Worksheet for federal contract specification 593-26-102, establishing salient characteristics for an Engineering Conference Room High Performance Wall System with Faulkbuilt as the brand name reference.

The specification defines a comprehensive architectural building system constructed of 16-gauge steel split super studs with a 2 7/16-inch cavity width, supporting wall heights up to 24 feet and accommodating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components both horizontally and vertically. The system must achieve a one-hour fire rating, extend into plenum space for drop ceiling integration, and provide provisions for embedded elements including charting stations, security systems, and touchless entry mechanisms. The wall cladding consists of 3/4-inch medium-density fiberboard (MDF) with steel fastening systems, finished with healthcare-grade 3D laminate or UV-cured finish, delivering a sound transmission class (STC) rating of 53 or higher for solid walls. The building system includes a pre-engineered, UL-listed electrical system with hospital-grade power for critical and non-critical applications, factory-mounted rough-in boxes for power, data, medical gas, and nurse call systems, and factory cutouts in cladding. Additional requirements include narrow-framed glass sliding doors with soft close/open mechanisms and 3/8-inch tempered glass, seamless installation capability (three times faster than conventional construction), clean installation processes without dust containment, cloud-based Revit software design coordination, knock-down component shipping with QR labels, three-week manufacturer lead time, LEED v4 and WELL v2 certification capability, 65-percent recyclability, GREENGUARD certification, 10-year limited warranty, and seismic bracing to deck. The specification mandates non-proprietary equipment and materials enabling owner reconfiguration without additional cost or licensed personnel.
