About this file
This document is a justification and approval for other than full and open competition under FAR Part 6.3 for the acquisition of two Toyota Land Cruisers by the Regional Procurement Support Office on behalf of Consulate Karachi. The vehicles will replace two 2010 models in the consulate's fleet and will be used by the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services motorpool to transport locally employed staff between locations within Karachi and throughout Sindh and Balochistan provinces. Toyota vehicles are suitable for the requirements as they are widely used in the consular district and Toyota is the only brand with certified local dealerships that can provide parts and repair services. Market research found Toyota to be the only make of appropriately sized vehicles available, and Consulate mechanics are familiar with maintaining the Toyota brand.
