Highway Administration Office of Infrastructure Research Statement of Work for

The Long-Term Infrastructure

Performance (LTIP) Team – Long-Term Bridge Performance (LTBP) Program

Task Order Proposal Request# HRDI30220026PR

Engineering Technical Support

1.0 Overview

This is a non-personal services task order to provide engineering and other technical support the FHWA’s Long Term Bridge Performance (LTBP) program. The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the task order service providers performing the services herein.

Such task order service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall perform to the standards in this task order.

1.1 Background

Bridge performance is not well understood and still relies heavily on expert opinion or significant assumptions and generalizations for assessment. Starting with the National Bridge Inventory, data on bridges has been collected in consistent, systematic, and computerized formats since 1971. These databases have improved significantly over time, but they still are not a complete basis for realistic assessment of bridge performance. Over the last few years, a number of national programs have been initiated (i.e., the FHWA Long- Term Bridge Performance (LTBP) Program) to provide a better understanding of bridge health and performance. However, additional research studies are needed to support the objectives of these national programs.

2 Objective

The primary objective of this task order is to provide technical support for the LTBP program as required within this statement of work.

2.0 Detailed Requirement

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the work described in this task order.

2.1 Scope

This task order covers specific efforts as described herein. Specifically, under this task order, efforts related to the following LTBP research activities will be needed:
