Feedlot Shade Cloth Extend/Roll-up

a. Scope

The USDA, ARS, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) has a requirement to extend, inspect, and retract approximately 104 NetPro Protective Canopy shade systems covering a feedlot.

b. Background

All shade systems must be extended during the month of May. All shade systems must be retracted during the month of October. Contractor will be expected to perform one inspection of the system between these months and provide a quote to the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center if any repairs are required.

c. Technical Requirements line items:

1. Extend Shade Cloths – Period of Performance 05/06/2020 to 05/31/2020

Contractor must extend, stretch, and secure all shade structures over livestock pens at the U.S.

Meat Animal Research Center Feedlot. Work must be performed in the month of May 2020 and be completed no later than 05/31/2020. See shade structure drawings.

2. Mid-Season Inspection – Period of Performance 06/01/2020 – 09/30/2020

Contractor must perform one visit to the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center Feedlot to inspect the shades and provide the location a quote for any repairs in needed.

3. Roll-up Shade Cloths – Period of Performance 10/01/2020 – 10/31/2020

Contractor must roll-up and secure all shade structures over livestock pens at the U.S. Meat

Animal Research Center Feedlot. Work must be performed in the month of October and be completed no later than 10/31/2020. See shade structure drawings.

d. Place of Performance

U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, NE 68933.

e. Period of Performance

The expected period of performance for this work will be 05/06/2020 – 10/31/2020.

f. Site Visit

There will be a site visit on Tuesday 04/28/2020 at 10:00 A.M. CST at the U.S. Meat Animal Research
