About this file

Attachment G is a Principal Place of Business Letter form for a solicitation, designed for bidders to indicate their company's primary business location within or outside of Florida. The document outlines specific requirements for vendors based on their geographical status, with different completion instructions for businesses located in Florida versus those headquartered in other states. Bidders must select their principal place of business and provide corresponding documentation, including an attorney's legal opinion if operating outside of Florida.

For out-of-state bidders, the form mandates a written legal opinion from an attorney licensed in the bidder's home state regarding any state-specific preferences in public contract procurement. The attorney must certify whether their state grants preferential treatment to local business entities in public contract awards, and if so, describe the specific preferences. This requirement stems from Section 287.084(2) of Florida Statutes, which aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the bidding process for vendors located outside of Florida.
