The document outlines comprehensive requirements for cleaning equipment before and after operations to prevent the spread of invasive weed species, including mandatory washing of vehicle wheels, undercarriages, bumpers, chainsaws, and hand pruners prior to entering Forest Service land.
Key cleaning stipulations include: washing equipment where rinse water can be properly collected and disposed of in authorized facilities, potential Forest Service inspection of equipment before use, mandatory washing after working in areas with invasive weeds, written contractor certification of compliance before operations, and immediate reporting of any new invasive species infestations.
