About this file
System Interface Requirements Summary
This is a System Interface Requirements attachment for Orange County, Florida's Corrections Jail Management System (RFP Y25-101-KS). The document outlines a comprehensive set of system interfaces necessary for the jail management platform to integrate with 20+ internal and external applications. The required system must support bidirectional data exchange with critical internal applications including Pharmacy (medication tracking), Medical Management System (electronic medical records), AFIS (fingerprinting and identification), and Mugshots, as well as unidirectional interfaces with operational systems such as Sickcall, Inmate Phone, Inmate Accounts, and Video Visitation. Additionally, the system must interface with numerous external criminal justice agencies and entities including the Public Defender, State Attorney, Clerk of Courts, Sheriff, Internal Affairs, Integrated Criminal Justice System, Smart Communications, and external agencies such as Orlando Sentinel and Criminal Justice Data Transparency (CJDT) systems. Data elements exchanged across these interfaces include inmate demographics, permanent and booking numbers, housing information, medical orders, medications, allergies, charges, bonds, fingerprints, photographs, and release information.
The interface requirements reflect the operational complexity of managing approximately 2,716 average daily inmates across 5,175 beds while processing 102 daily bookings. The solution must accommodate the current system's transition from GlobalTel Link/DSI Offender Management System version 7.7.5 and establish reliable data exchange protocols to maintain continuity across the County's criminal justice ecosystem, including victim notification systems, probation tracking, and inmate financial account management. The bidirectional interfaces for pharmacy and medical management are particularly critical given the healthcare demands of the inmate population, while the unidirectional feeds to law enforcement and court systems ensure proper information distribution for case management and public safety purposes.
