About this file

The document is a School Safety Affidavit for the Genesee Intermediate School District's Early Childhood Programs and Services, specifically related to an Oriole's Nest Furniture RFP. This affidavit is a mandatory compliance document that vendors must complete and submit with their bid, focusing on school safety legislation requirements under Michigan law (MCL 380.1230 and related statutes).

The affidavit requires contractors to certify that all individuals who will work directly or indirectly on school district property - including employees, agents, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants - are in compliance with state school safety regulations and have not been convicted of any "listed offenses". Contractors must agree to report within 3 business days if any such person is charged with a specified crime, and immediately report to the Michigan Statewide Education Network if that person is subsequently convicted or pleads guilty or no contest to such a crime. The document provides space for any potential exceptions to these requirements, emphasizing the district's commitment to maintaining a safe educational environment.
