About this file

This document is a Project Order issued by George Mason University for a Construction Term Contract for construction services, alterations, modifications and repairs on an as-needed basis. The contract was awarded through RFP #247-24-T007 and establishes the scope of work, contract documents, time for completion, and project order amount for a specific construction project. The project is to be commenced on a date specified in a Notice to Proceed and substantially completed by a given date, with final completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion. The contractor is required to follow specific procedures for submitting change orders, cure notices, and project contacts, as well as requirements for parking permits, electronic access cards, and payment invoicing through the University's project management software.

The Project Order incorporates the terms of the overarching Construction Term Contract, including bonding and insurance requirements. It also specifies that the contractor must be registered in eVA, the Commonwealth of Virginia's e-procurement system. The contract allows for up to a 20% increase in the original contract price through change orders, and interest accrual on late payments to the contractor.
