About this file
This is a Reference Check form required for the TATOW27SB Towing Services procurement by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) Easton Shop located in Talbot County on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The solicitation seeks bids for towing services across three duty categories—light, medium, and heavy duty—with rates structured on an hourly basis. The contract encompasses normal operating hours (Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM) as well as overtime and emergency rates applicable outside standard hours or during snow storms, hurricanes, and other major weather events. No flat fees, show-up fees, minimums, mileage charges, or gasoline surcharges are permitted; all costs must be incorporated into the six hourly rate line items on the price form.
This is a small business reserve procurement with no subcontracting allowed. Bidders must own their tow trucks, which must be registered to their company. The Reference Check form serves as a required evaluation component to verify bidder qualifications and performance history. Pricing is limited to the six specified hourly rate categories, representing the complete compensation structure for all services rendered under the contract term.
