About this file
This document provides details on various service coverage plans for scientific instrument maintenance and repair. The plans include Comprehensive Service Plans, Repair-Only Plans, Preventive Maintenance Plans, and Time and Materials coverage. Response times range from three to twenty business days depending on the plan. The Comprehensive and Time and Materials plans provide on-site service, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The Preventive Maintenance and Repair-Only plans focus on specific components of service. All plans include provision of parts, consumables, labor, and travel for repairs. Depot repair and technical support are also covered under some plans. Acceptance testing is required following servicing to verify full instrument operation. The related federal contract opportunity is for scientific instrument maintenance and repair services through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with the Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration Office of Acquisition and Grant Services.
