About this file
This document is a technical specification for substation voltage transformers requested as part of the CRCBF-04 Station Service Transformer contract opportunity issued by the Colorado River Commission of Nevada (CRCNV). The contract requires the supply of single-phase, oil-immersed, self-cooled voltage transformers with a 230kV nominal system voltage, 133kV primary line-to-ground voltage, and 120/240V secondary voltage ratings. The transformers must meet IEEE and NEMA standards and be regularly manufactured by an established supplier with at least 3 years of proven reliable service in outdoor substation use. The contract covers the jurisdictions of Clark County and the City of Las Vegas in Nevada.
The specification outlines the required submittals, including detailed drawings, and notes that the transformer installation and assembly will be performed by others. The transformers must be delivered to the site in open-top trucks or trailers protected by tarpaulin. Any errors, discrepancies, or shipping damage must be corrected immediately at the supplier's expense to avoid delays in construction.
